MATERIAL ART
Materiality is an exploration of form, rhythm, and the interplay between tactility and the ephemeral. Working primarily with ceramics, I approach sculptural work as a dialogue between structure and transformation, permanence and dissolution.
Ceramic Work – The creation of sculptural objects that embody movement, rhythm, and organic formation, often influenced by musical structures and synesthetic perception.
Material and Scent Intersections – Some ceramic works are infused with olfactory elements, allowing for a sensorial encounter that extends beyond the visual and tactile.
Temporal and Spatial Awareness – Exploring how materiality shifts over time, influenced by air, heat, touch, and the spaces in which they exist.
Through sculptural practice, I investigate how materials hold memory, how form can express unseen rhythms, and how ceramics—as both a historical and experimental medium—can bridge the divide between the sensory and the conceptual.
